Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid Silver Plush Mattress Review
This has been updated to the Silver Chill
Second from the top of the Sealy Posturepedic Hybrid Premier line, you have the Silver Plush mattress. With extra gel memory foam at the top of the mattress, the Hybrid Silver Plush creates a very soft and incredibly comfortable sleeping surface that will contour your body and provide you with the support that you need. Today we are going to take a look at the comfort provided by this mattress to your body in three of the most popular sleeping positions, side, back, and stomach. Take a look below and see if this mattress is for you.
Comfort by Position
Comfort for the Side Sleeper 5/5
The Sealy Hybrid Silver plush mattress has 5" of comfort material at the top of the mattress. (Out of its 14.5" mattress height) You can definitely feel it when you lay down on your side. The bed seems to hug your body and welcome you into your new sleeping spot. We give this mattress a 5/5 for side sleeping due to the lack of pressure on the typical pressure points and overall "hard-to-get-back-up" comfort.
Comfort for the Back Sleeper 4/5
The Silver plush is an all around comfortable mattress that provides the same support system as the rest of the Hybrid line-up. Since there is gel memory foam in the top layer of the mattress, you can feel it come up to meet your lower back and slowly conform to your body so it provides you with all the comfort and support you need. We give this mattress at 4/5 for the back sleeper, simply because it is so soft we know that it will not suit many back sleepers who are accustomed to a harder mattress.
Comfort for the Stomach Sleeper 3/5
If you are a stomach sleeper, you might find the Hybrid Silver plush mattress comfortable since it does provide the same level of support as the rest of the line-up. However, with so much soft gel memory foam at the top, you might sink in an uncomfortable manner and feel some discomfort in your lower back. I was quite comfortable, but I give the 3/5 stomach sleeper rating due to the possibility of lower back discomfort. Check out the Cobalt Firm if you are looking for a firmer option.
What makes it a Hybrid Mattress?
Sealy has taken the best of their most popular mattresses and combined them to create a new type of mattress that provides top of the line body contouring support and comfort without any of the drawbacks that typical mattresses possess. Gel memory foam provides excellent body contouring comfort, while underneath the individually encased coils provided incredible body contouring support that caters to your unique shape.
Sealy's 10 Year Warranty
Sealy 10 Year non-prorated limited manufacturer's warranty helps to protect your purchase against manufacturer's defects in material or workmanship for 10 years with no proration. In order to protect your warranty we recommend including a mattress protector with your purchase so you don't get disqualified by any stains that your mattress might receive through normal wear.
