Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze vs. LuxeBreeze (2026): Which Cooling Tempur-Pedic Should You Buy?

Tempur-Pedic ProBreeze vs. LuxeBreeze (2026): Which Cooling Tempur-Pedic Should You Buy?

Love the feel of a Tempur-Pedic but wake up hot? You're not alone. Heat is one of the top reasons people come into our Las Vegas showroom looking for a new bed.

Tempur-Pedic's answer is the Breeze® Collection. It comes in two models: TEMPUR-ProBreeze® and TEMPUR-LuxeBreeze®. Both are built to sleep cooler than a standard Tempur-Pedic. But one costs about $1,300 more for a Queen.

So which one should you buy? We sell both every day at Bedplanet. Here's the simple, honest breakdown.

Quick Answer: ProBreeze or LuxeBreeze?

  • Buy the ProBreeze® if you sleep a little warm, like a Medium feel, and want Breeze cooling for less. Queen: $4,399.
  • Buy the LuxeBreeze® if you sleep hot every night, need a Soft or Firm feel, or want the most pressure relief Tempur-Pedic makes. Queen: $5,699.

The short version: ProBreeze feels up to 5° cooler. LuxeBreeze feels up to 10° cooler.* LuxeBreeze also has more TEMPUR-Material® and more feel choices.

Prices are Bedplanet prices at the time of writing. Check each product page for current pricing.

What the Two Breeze Models Have in Common

Before we get into the differences, here's what you get with either one:

  • TEMPUR-Material® that molds to your body and eases pressure on shoulders and hips
  • A heat-diffusing layer that helps pull heat away from your body
  • Ventilated Advanced Relief™ Material for more airflow
  • A SmartClimate® cover that feels cool to the touch and zips off to go in the wash
  • Great motion isolation, so you feel less of your partner tossing and turning
  • Made in the USA with a 10-Year Limited Warranty
  • Works on adjustable bases, standard frames, and platform beds

Both models come in Twin XL, Queen, King, Cal King, Split King, and Split Cal King. Neither comes in Twin or Full. If you need those sizes, look at the TEMPUR-Adapt® collection.

Difference #1: How Much Cooler They Sleep

This is the big one.

The ProBreeze® uses Pure Cool® Material. Tempur-Pedic says it feels up to 5° cooler* than a ProAdapt. For most people who "run a little warm," that's plenty.

The LuxeBreeze® uses Pure Cool® Plus Material, Tempur-Pedic's most advanced cooling layer. Tempur-Pedic says it feels up to 10° cooler*. That's double the cooling of the ProBreeze.

Here's a simple test:

  • Do you kick the covers off some nights? ProBreeze is likely enough.
  • Do you wake up sweaty, flip your pillow all night, or run the AC hard even in winter? Go LuxeBreeze.

Living in Las Vegas? Summer nights here can stay warm long after sunset. A lot of our local customers who sleep hot end up in the LuxeBreeze for that reason.

Difference #2: Feel Choices

The feel you need may make the choice for you.

ProBreeze® Feels

  • ProBreeze® Medium — all foam. Quiet, full-body hug with balanced support. Good for back, side, and combo sleepers.
  • ProBreeze® Medium Hybrid — TEMPUR-Material® over 1,000+ coils. A bit more bounce, easier to move on, and extra airflow.

LuxeBreeze® Feels

  • LuxeBreeze® Soft — all foam with deep contouring. Built for side sleepers whose shoulders and hips need room to sink in.
  • LuxeBreeze® Medium Hybrid — TEMPUR-Material® over 1,300+ double-stacked coils. Balanced cushioning with a responsive, traditional feel.
  • LuxeBreeze® Firm — all foam with minimal sink. Built for back and stomach sleepers.

Bottom line: If you need a Soft or Firm cooling Tempur-Pedic, the LuxeBreeze is your only Breeze option. If Medium works for you, both models are on the table.

Not sure which feel fits you? Our Tempur-Pedic Firmness Guide walks through it by sleep position.

Difference #3: Pressure Relief and Height

The LuxeBreeze® is a 13" mattress with up to 33% more TEMPUR-Material® than the ProBreeze. The ProBreeze® is 12".

More TEMPUR-Material® means more cushion between you and the support core. You'll notice it most on your shoulders and hips, especially if you sleep on your side or you're a heavier sleeper.

That extra inch also makes the bed feel a little taller and more "luxury hotel." If you're pairing it with a tall frame or an adjustable base with legs, keep total bed height in mind for getting in and out easily.

Difference #4: Price

Here's what each model costs at Bedplanet, by size:

Size ProBreeze® 12" LuxeBreeze® 13" Difference
Twin XL $3,899 $5,199 $1,300
Queen $4,399 $5,699 $1,300
King / Cal King $5,099 $6,399 $1,300
Split King / Split Cal King (2 mattresses) $7,798 $10,398 $2,600

Every feel within a model is the same price. So pick the feel you like best, not the one that's cheapest.

What Does That Look Like Per Night?

Spread over the 10-year warranty (about 3,650 nights), a Queen works out to:

  • ProBreeze®: about $1.21 a night
  • LuxeBreeze®: about $1.56 a night

That's a difference of about 36 cents a night for double the cooling and more pressure relief. For a hot sleeper, that's often an easy call.

What About Monthly Payments?

Both Breeze Queens qualify for Bedplanet's longest Synchrony Home promo: 0% APR for 48 months on purchases of $3,998 or more, with equal monthly payments, subject to credit approval. Here's the simple math before any add-ons:

Size ProBreeze® LuxeBreeze®
Queen About $92/mo About $119/mo
King / Cal King About $107/mo About $134/mo
Split King About $163/mo About $217/mo

Estimates only, based on price divided by 48 and rounded up. Not a financing offer. Terms, eligibility, and exclusions apply. See our financing page for full details.

Pairing a Breeze Mattress With an Adjustable Base

Both Breeze models work on a TEMPUR-Ergo® adjustable base. Raising your head a little can also help with snoring and with feeling less "stuffy" at night.

If you share a bed, a Split King lets each person raise their own side, and each person can even choose a different Breeze feel. Learn more in Best Tempur-Pedic Mattresses for Adjustable Bases and Tempur-Ergo Smart Base vs. ProSmart Base.

Keep the Cooling Going: Breeze Bedding

A cooling mattress works best when what's on top of it breathes too. A thick, plastic-feeling protector or heavy sheets can trap heat and undo some of the Breeze cooling.

See why a protector matters in our guide to the best mattress protector for Tempur-Pedic.
