How Much Does a Stearns & Foster Mattress Cost? (2026 Price Guide by Collection and Size)

How Much Does a Stearns & Foster Mattress Cost? (2026 Price Guide by Collection and Size)

Thinking about a Stearns & Foster mattress? You already know it's a luxury bed. The real question is: how much will it actually cost me?

The answer depends on three things: which collection you choose, what size you need, and what you put under it. Stearns & Foster makes four collections — Studio, Estate, Lux Estate and Reserve — and the price gap between the first and the last is bigger than most people expect.

We sell Stearns & Foster every day at Bedplanet. This guide shows what every Stearns & Foster we carry costs, in every size, so you can set a budget before you shop.

Stearns & Foster Prices by Collection

Stearns & Foster Studio — about $1,699 to $1,899 (Queen)

Studio is the most affordable way to own a Stearns & Foster. You get more than 1,000 premium coils under plush memory foam, a DuraFlex Pro™ coil edge for sturdy sides, and a cool TENCEL™ cover. It comes in one feel, Medium, with a choice of a Tight Top or a softer Euro Pillow Top.

Buy it if: you want Stearns & Foster craftsmanship for under $2,000 in a Queen, and a Medium feel works for you. Studio is also the only Stearns & Foster we carry in a Twin.

Stearns & Foster Estate — about $2,299 to $2,499 (Queen)

Estate is the brand's most popular collection, and it's the one we point most people to first. It steps up to IntelliCoil® support, a PrecisionEdge® edge, and more comfort layers than Studio. You can pick from Ultra Firm, Firm or Soft, and Firm and Soft also come as a Euro Pillow Top.

Buy it if: you want the true Stearns & Foster feel and the most choice of firmness for the money. For most people, this is the sweet spot.

Stearns & Foster Lux Estate — about $2,899 to $3,499 (Queen)

Lux Estate adds IntelliCoil® HD with a Micro Layer of extra coils, more cooling, and a softer, richer cover. It has double the air vents of Studio and Estate, so it's the one we suggest if you sleep warm. It also has the widest feel range: Ultra Firm, Firm, Medium and Soft.

Buy it if: you sleep hot, or you want a plusher Euro Pillow Top without jumping all the way to Reserve. The Lux Estate Medium Euro Pillow Top is the priciest Lux Estate at $3,499 (Queen).

Stearns & Foster Reserve — about $4,099 to $5,799 (Queen)

Reserve is the best Stearns & Foster makes. It has IntelliCoil® HD with 20% more coils, 50% more specialty comfort materials, and a hand-tufted velvet cover. It's also the tallest, at 16" to 17". We carry it in Firm, Medium and Soft, plus the Reserve Duet Firm Tight Top ($5,799 Queen).

Buy it if: this is your "forever bed," you want the most cushioning and the best materials, and budget is not the main concern.

Why Does Stearns & Foster Cost More?

Stearns & Foster is a luxury brand, and the price reflects how the beds are made:

  • Handcrafted in the USA. Every collection is built by hand, not mass-produced.
  • Better coils. Estate and up use IntelliCoil®, a coil-within-a-coil design that adjusts to your weight. Lux Estate and Reserve step up to IntelliCoil® HD.
  • More comfort material. Each step up adds more and better foam. Reserve has 50% more specialty comfort materials.
  • Premium covers. From TENCEL™ on Studio and Estate to hand-tufted velvet on Reserve.
  • Strong edges. PrecisionEdge® (Estate and up) keeps the sides firm, so you can sleep near the edge and sit on it without sagging.

Every Stearns & Foster we sell comes with a 10-Year Limited Warranty.

What Does a Stearns & Foster Cost Per Night?

A good mattress should last you about 10 years. Here's what each collection costs per night over 10 years (Queen, lowest price in each collection):

Collection Queen Price Cost Per Night (10 Years)
Studio $1,699 About $0.47
Estate $2,299 About $0.63
Lux Estate $2,899 About $0.79
Reserve $4,099 About $1.12

Even the Reserve costs about what a cup of gas-station coffee does — for a bed you'll use every single night.
