Leggett & Platt Pro-Motion Adjustable Base Bed Vs Pro-Motion 2.0 Adjustable Base Bed Comparison

Leggett & Platt Pro-Motion Adjustable Base Bed Vs Pro-Motion 2.0 Adjustable Base Bed Comparison

Leggett & Platt’s Pro-Motion 2.0 adjustable base bed is currently available on Bedplanet. The Pro-Motion is one of the first adjustable bases that became available from Leggett & Platt. The company has decided to take one of their classic bases and add modern enhancements, to make it even better.

The Pro-Motion features a simple to use remote that has stayed virtually the same from model to model. There is a slight difference in the picture detail on each of the buttons. The color of the remote has changed, which seems like an odd decision. The original Pro-motion featured a black remote that contrasted with the white bed. Pro-Motion 2.0 has a white remote that is paired with a darker color bed. Perhaps this was done to make finding the wired remote easier? The ability to adjust both the head and foot articulation has remained the same. The 1-3-25 year warranty remains the same and still has impressive coverage.

Changes To The Simplicity

A few changes have been made to the Pro-Motion 2.0. This is a series that is not loaded with features, but rather includes ones that you will find useful. An increased weight limit has been given to the new base, with a max limit reaching 850lbs of lift capacity. The look of the actual base has changed to a compressed 1” profile foundation style base. The slimmed down design will easily fit into your existing bed frame.

Pro-Motion 2.0 Additions

There is a new feature that has been added to the Pro-motion 2.0. Leggett & Platt created the Micro-hook retention system and slowly rolled it out to their adjustable bases. Initially you could only find it on a few premium choices. Now, this awesome feature is available on almost every base they offer. The micro-hook retention system is two velcro-like strips that go across the lower half of the base. The strips then grab on to your mattress to hold it in place whenever the base is in motion. This eliminates the need for a retention bar (although one is still included in case you decide to use a bedskirt). You can now maintain the streamlined look of your base and not worry about your mattress slipping or shifting during motion.
