So you're looking for the best mattress for your AirBnB property? Great! We have a wide selection of excellent mattresses for your current or next AirBnB property. Read on to learn more about what to look for when it comes to selecting the right mattress for both your budget and the guests' experience. Enjoy!
When choosing a mattress for an AirBnB rental property, you need to evaluate a few factors which may influence the mattress you end up purchasing. What is your level of AirBnB (basic, mid-grade, luxury)? What type of mattress do most people prefer during their vacation or business travel? How many bedrooms are you furnishing? These are the questions which will help you best determine the right style of mattress to purchase for your AirBnB property
The level of luxury your AirBnB possesses will help you determine the bed your AirBnB will require to achieve a great rating amongst guests. Let’s explore some of our favorite bed models at the price points listed below!
The number of bedrooms you're furnishing obviously dictates how much you’re willing to spend on your mattress purchase for your AirBnB property. If you’re furnishing a 4-5 bedroom home, versus a 1-bedroom apartment; you’re going to see a significant difference in overall cost. It’s ultimately up to you how much you’d like to spend, yet we do recommend you invest in your guests’ experience; especially their sleep experience.
The mattress most people prefer during travels is something which is not too soft, or too firm; just right in the middle of the road. Choosing a medium-firm mattress can also help you avoid complaints from picky guests, as some may generally prefer a softer mattress and some may prefer a firmer mattress. The last thing you want to do is buy an ultra-soft mattress for every single room in your AirBnB and then have a string of guests who are most comfortable on a firmer mattress. Stick to the medium level mattresses and you’ll most likely hear very little complaints about the beds your guests sleep on throughout their stay.
Regardless of which level of mattress you choose to buy for your AirBnB property, you’ll want to protect your mattress with a high-quality mattress protector. Browse our selection of mattress protectors right here!
AirBnB is all about providing an optimal experience for those looking for an alternative to a hotel. Most decent to higher-end hotels have top-quality mattresses to help their guests have some of the best night’s sleep. Try to be on par with the hotels in your area. Don’t cheap out on the guest experience, as it will most likely cost you more in the long run with negative reviews.

Choosing to replace your mattress can be a big decision. Thankfully, here at BedPlanet, we’ve been able to assemble this helpful and informative guide which will assist you in making the right decision on whether or not you should replace your mattress. Enjoy!
Below are some factors to consider when weighing the decision on whether or not you're likely to replace your old mattress with a brand new mattress from BedPlanet:
If your mattress is approaching the 6-8 year mark, you may want to look into purchasing a new mattress sooner, rather than later. When your mattress reaches this age range, you’ll most likely notice some problems developing, if not fully present every time you sleep.
Don’t let your mattress negatively impact your sleeping patterns. An older mattress with lots of use throughout the years may begin to infringe upon your good night’s sleep. The best way to resolve this issue is to browse our selection of mattresses right here!
If your mattress is noticeably saggy, even after rotating and flipping, you’ll likely want to start browsing for a new mattress. This is a sign of true damage from years of use, which is normal after an extended period of time; but nonetheless a sign it’s time to replace the old with the new.
If you’re noticing your mattress is making odd sounds with each movement or shift throughout the night, you may want to examine the problem. Sure, it may be a one-off squeaky spring if you have a spring-loaded or hybrid mattress, however, this noisiness often indicates your mattress may be nearing its final years.
Do you notice whenever you sleep at a hotel, an AirBnB, or a family’s house, you sleep much better? Maybe it’s the ambiance, but it’s most likely the better mattress itself.
Are you noticing your allergies or asthma increasing every time you lay down on your older mattress? If so, there may be a strong buildup of dander, debris, and dust causing you to feel as though you’ve just entered a dusty attic.
If you’re regularly waking up with muscle or joint stiffness after sleeping on your mattress, but not other mattresses, this may be an indication it’s time for a new bed.
Mattress materials greatly influence the lifespan of your mattress. If you have a traditional spring-loaded mattress from yesteryears, you may have discovered it’s not holding up as it used to. If you have a true memory-foam mattress, you may have had a decent run out of it for the past 6-8 years, but it may be sagging and not as supportive as it once was. A hybrid mattress may offer further support and stability when compared to a traditional spring-loaded mattress or a pure memory foam mattress; as it has the best of both worlds.
As long as you treat your mattress with routine maintenance and care, it should last longer than if you were to completely neglect it. This is obviously true of most things in life, yet it’s especially true with the new mattress you purchase. You’ll want to rotate your mattress from head to toe about every six months. Ensure your mattress is protected with a high-quality mattress protector. Check out our selection of mattress protectors right here!
Your overall size and weight will greatly influence the length of time your mattress lasts. If you’re a 6’5” tall male weighing upwards of 250 lbs, you’re most likely going to see sagging and reduced support quicker than a 5’5” tall female weighing 130 lbs. This is simply basic physics combined with gravity. The more weight the mattress has to support, the more wear and tear the mattress will encounter.
If you have children or pets, you may find yourself running into more wear and tear than someone without children or pets. The main reason behind this is the fact pets can have accidents on your bed, as can children. When you combine the added weight from pets and children if they sleep in the same bed as you, the accident-prone nature of children and pets, and the potential for intentional damage from your pets if they become bored and want to tear up the side of your mattress; you may find yourself having to replace your mattress much sooner than anticipated.
This question is often asked, and ninety-nine percent of the time, the answer is “Yes!”. Let’s explore some of the reasons why below.
Your sleep quality is so important. If your sleep is suffering due to an older, defunct mattress, you’ll want to invest in a new mattress as soon as possible. If you decide to “save money” by not purchasing a new mattress, you may end up developing a health condition later down the road from joint stiffness, back pain, neck pain, or hip pain; which will most likely cost you much more than the price of a new mattress, all things considered. Knowing we spend about ⅓ of our lives sleeping, it’s very important to have quality sleep.
A reduction in aches and pains can be truly life changing. Sometimes you don’t realize how good your sleep can be until you’ve slept on a brand new mattress from BedPlanet. Reduce your aches and pains today if you’ve been noticing your old mattress just isn’t cutting it anymore.
If you’re constantly waking up from your partner’s shifts, tossing, and turning throughout the night, it may be time to look at a mattress which offers little to no motion transfer between partners as they sleep. Having a restful, complete night’s sleep while sharing a bed with your loved one can be a game-changer.
If you’re noticing allergy symptoms or asthma symptoms increasing as soon as you lay down in your bed, it may be harboring nasty bacteria, debris, dander, and dust. Your old mattress may contribute to your allergy symptoms or asthma symptoms if not addressed properly with the purchase of a new mattress, free of dust, dander, debris, and bacteria.

You may be asking “What is a hybrid mattress?”. This is a great question, which we’ll be answering in this latest blog post. Be sure to read on to learn more about what a hybrid mattress consists of, and why you should choose BedPlanet if you’re looking for a high-quality hybrid mattress, paired with amazing customer service; every step of the way.
A hybrid mattress is a combination of a traditional spring-loaded mattress with a memory foam mattress element embedded throughout. A hybrid mattress is often referred to as the “Goldilocks” of mattresses because it’s “just right” for many, many people. The benefits of having the support of a traditional innerspring mattress, paired with a memory foam, gel, or latex style filling can provide side sleepers, back sleepers, stomach sleepers, and more with the good night’s rest they’ve been searching for!
If you’re seeking out both support from a traditional innerspring mattress, yet you also want the comforting contouring of a softer memory foam style mattress; the hybrid mattress is most likely the right choice for you. Many people will find the hybrid mattress style to again be just right, for their sleeping needs thanks to the combination of innersprings and memory foam technology.
Hybrid mattresses offer the best of both worlds, as stated above, yet some mattress buyers may want a pure memory foam mattress for the ultimate contouring experience, density, quietness, and temperature regulation. Memory foam mattresses do offer all of these benefits, so if that sounds more suitable for your sleeping patterns, check out our memory foam mattresses right here!
Again, hybrid mattresses do offer the best of both worlds, and we highly recommend you check out our wide selection of hybrid mattresses right here. However, if you want a traditional innerspring mattress, you’ll find them to be more affordable than a hybrid mattress in most cases, but that’s where the benefits typically end. A traditional innerspring mattress typically cannot contour to your body the same way a hybrid mattress can with its innerspring and memory foam components.
Hybrid mattresses last on average around 7 years. This average length of time can be extended if you rotate your mattress 180 degrees every few months, and if you use a mattress protector to prevent any accumulation of dust, debris, allergens, fluids, etc… Check out our mattress protectors to extend the life of your hybrid mattress.
Check out our wide range of hybrid mattresses by clicking the link below and you’ll see all available hybrid mattresses with corresponding pricing.

We believe in offering our customers the best experience possible, and we stand by our mission to provide each and every one of our customers with a mattress they’ll love, paired with the excellent level of customer service they can expect from BedPlanet!
You may be asking yourself how long does a Tempur-Pedic mattress last? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Read on to learn more from the experts at BedPlanet and discover the answer to your pending question: “How long does a Tempur-Pedic mattress last for?” Enjoy!
Making the commitment to invest in your sleep quality with a high-quality mattress is the first step towards considering purchase of a Tempur-Pedic mattress. The Tempur-Pedic mattress itself is designed with you in mind, every step of the way. Tempur-Pedic is well known throughout the world as one of the premier mattresses, so when you’re making the decision to invest in a high-quality mattress; you’re doing it for the right reasons. Let’s explore the many aspects of what makes a Tempur-Pedic mattress great!
The average lifespan for a tempur-pedic mattress is around 8-10 years. Tempur-Pedic themselves have a 10-year full replacement limited warranty. This showcases their commitment to their customer and how they stand by their brand, year after year.
The construction of your memory foam mattress determines the longevity of it over time. The coils within a hybrid memory foam mattress will allow it to last longer than a standard memory foam mattress. This is primarily due to the inherent support within the coiled hybrid memory foam mattress.
Below are some important aspects which will help determine the length of time your Tempur-Pedic mattress will last. Let’s dive in!
The amount of time you spend in bed sleeping or lounging will impact the length of time your Tempur-Pedic mattress will last over the years. If you sleep 8 hours per night, versus 10-12 hours per night; that could decrease the wear & tear of your mattress over time. If you tend to lounge in bed often and watch television for a few hours here and there every few days, that could impact the amount of life you’ll have out of your Tempur-Pedic mattress.
The amount you weigh as a person will influence the amount of life you can have out of your Tempur-Pedic mattress. If you’re a petite 120-lb person, you’ll likely have more life out of your mattress versus a 350-lb bodybuilder. It all comes down to how much weight you’re placing onto the bed itself which will determine how much life it has left in it over the years.
Hybrid Tempur-Pedic mattresses will often have more support and density, as they’ll have the coils to support your weight. The standard memory foam mattress from Tempur-Pedic doesn't have as much density, and therefore may not have the same amount of support over a long-term timeframe.
The general wear & tear you may encounter over time through regular use is normal with any mattress, yet it may determine the life of your mattress as well. It’s important to treat your mattress with the respect it deserves, to help ensure it has a long, happy life. Alternatively, a mattress protector is a great way to protect your mattress from general wear & tear over prolonged periods of use.
No, it is not recommended you flip your Tempur-Pedic mattress over. Tempur-Pedic mattresses are not designed to be flipped over. However, you can rotate your mattress 180 degrees if you’d like to, although it shouldn't be necessary.
A mattress topper or mattress sealed bag may be a great option to keep your Tenpuer-Pedic mattress clean and safe from dust mites or the dreaded bed bugs, should you ever encounter such a scenario. A waterproof mattress sealed bag can help you avoid having to clean any accidents which may occur as well. A 5-sided mattress protector is a great way to protect your mattress from dust mites, bed bugs, and liquids.
If you’re in the market for a Tempur-Pedic Mattress, you’ll want to shop for one at BedPlanet! We’re the experts in Tempur-Pedic mattresses and we pride ourselves on excellent customer service. Feel free to check out all of our Tempur-Pedic mattresses by clicking the button below.
In the world of mattresses, there are two popular types of mattresses: those filled with foam layers and those filled with coils. While both function well, the only difference is the feel. When it comes to comfort, each person's preference is different.
The Sealy Hybrid collection can be a good way for you to enjoy the benefits of foam and coil technology without having to sacrifice a comfortable night's sleep because you cannot find a mattress that suits your preference. Sealy products are made by combining foam top layers (which provide additional comfort) and pocketed coil construction that offers great support and firmness.
Hybrid mattresses are a great choice for everyone. They offer the best of both worlds by combining the comfort and support of memory foam with the pressure relief and bounce of springs.
Sealy's new hybrid models, Albany, Brenham, and Highpoint are designed for all sleepers, including those who like a firmer feel and people who prefer a softer mattress. These models have been created with different firmness levels to suit your needs.
The Sealy Hybrid Albany is a great option for anyone looking to add a little extra comfort to their life. This mattress is filled with CertiPUR-US® certified foam, which means it's made without ozone depleters, mercury, lead, and other heavy metals you'd find in traditional mattresses. It also contains no PBDEs or TDCPP flame retardants, which are linked to cancer and hormone disruption. That's right—you can sleep knowing you're not exposing yourself or your family to harmful chemicals!
The Sealy Hybrid Albany also features a fiber-encased coil system that provides support where your body needs it most: the hips, shoulders, and lower back. This system will give you the support you need without allowing your body to sink into the mattress. The result is a mattress that cradles you like an old friend but still provides support where it counts.
The Sealy Hybrid Albany also has a breathable cover made from 100% polyester fibers that allow airflow throughout the mattress for ventilation.
The Hybrid Brenham combines a layer of gel-infused memory foam with Sealy's exclusive Cool Action™ Gel Foam, which helps regulate body temperature by absorbing heat from your body and dispersing it back into the air around you. The result is a cool night's sleep that will keep you sleeping soundly all night long.
The Brenham also features:
-2" Sealy OptiCoil® Technology, which provides pressure-relieving support while keeping your spine properly aligned so that you wake up refreshed every morning
-QuiltFlex™ Cover—an extra soft cover made with 100% cotton fibers that provide a luxurious feel against your skin while protecting the mattress itself from dust mites and allergens
-EdgeGuard® Foam Encasement—a foam border around the outside edge of the mattress that prevents staining on your bed frame when you step out onto it with bare feet
The Highpoint is a hybrid mattress that has been designed to be comfortable and supportive. It uses a combination of memory foam and pocketed coils to provide you with the support you need for your back, while also keeping you cool with the use of gel-infused foam.
The Sealy Hybrid Highpoint has a 5-inch layer of memory foam at its core, which conforms to your body and helps relieve pressure points. The coil system supports your weight evenly across the mattress, so you won't feel any pressure on your shoulders or hips if you sleep in different positions throughout the night. It is available in four firmness levels: soft, medium, firm, and extra firm. You can choose which level best suits your body type and sleep preferences
Hybrid mattresses are a great way for the average consumer to get the best of both worlds. They are two mattresses in one, giving you the softness of memory foam and the support of pocket coils. The top-of-the-line models that Sealy offers will give you an incredible sleeping experience at a price you can afford.
If you're like most people out there, a great mattress is very important to you. And while there's no doubt that the mattress market is full of options, it's easy to get overwhelmed. By contrast, buying a hybrid can help keep things simple, especially for shoppers on a budget. You'll be able to get a good night's sleep, at an affordable rate.
]]>One thing you'll use every night to sleep is a mattress. If it's not comfortable, you won't be able to get a good night's rest. This will make you feel sleepy all the time, which will make it hard to do your daily tasks at home and at work. Back or neck pain can also be caused by the wrong mattress.
When you buy a mattress, you are making a long-term choice. Mattresses aren't cheap, and once you buy one, you will probably use it for at least 10 years.
So, it's important to make sure you get the right mattress.
Here are five easy ways to find the best mattress:
1. Decide how comfortable you want your mattress to be. There are four main types of mattress comfort:
• Ultra Firm: This kind of bed is best for people who don't want to sink into the mattress at all, or who need the most back support because of an illness or injury.
• Firm: A firm mattress usually gives a little bit, but it is still a hard place to sleep
• Cushion Firm: A cushion firm mattress is still somewhat hard, but it contains a tiny layer of padding that cushions you against the solid core, making it a good compromise for those who prefer a combination of firmness and softness.
• Plush: Plush mattresses offer a softer, more yielding surface for sleeping.
• Pillowtop: Pillowtop mattresses are ideal if you desire a cloud-like softness and level of comfort.
At your local furniture store, you can try out the five different kinds of mattresses. You want to make sure that the level of comfort is right for you. Keep in mind that different comfort levels affect different parts of your body in different ways. Your mattress should help you get a good night's sleep, not give you aches and pains when you wake up in the morning.
2. Decide what kind of mattress you want. Most people sleep on one of these three types of mattresses:
• Hybrid Mattress
• Memory Foam
• Innerspring
These three kinds of mattresses are made from different materials, so they will feel different when you lie down on them. Make sure you try each one so you can find the one you like best.
3. Learn about the different comfort levels and types of mattresses. Then, compare the specs and features of mattresses from different model ranges and manufacturers. Different companies can make the same kind of mattress, but charge very different prices for it. You can miss out on a terrific offer if you don't take the time to browse around.
4. Ask questions about the materials that were used to make the mattresses you are thinking about buying. For instance, if you are choosing between innerspring mattresses, you should ask specific questions about the springs. You want a mattress that will last for a long time, not one that will fall apart the first time your kids use it as a trampoline.
5. Use all the information you've gathered to compare prices and deals and choose the right mattress store. Don't ever think that your bed is all you have to offer. It's something you'll have for a long time, so you want to make sure it's something you'll be happy with.

]]>Purchasing local and American-made products seems to be an important factor for several buyers nowadays. However, there are several things that can come into play when considering in-country mattress manufacturers. Cost, quality, and the environment can all be affected by manufacturing origin. Differences that can be important for consumers.
As with nearly all manufactured goods, consumers have numerous choices between domestic and imported products. Many Americans believe that buying American-made products can help to support our economy and that it affects quality. Understanding how domestic and imported beds can differ could assist you to make wiser purchasing decisions.
Different countries and regions have different laws, and these can affect the chemicals used in mattress construction. The US and EU have stricter health and safety standards than other exporting regions. Flammability testing, toxic additive bans, and disallowed manufacturing chemicals are all highly regulated aspects of mattress manufacturing in the United States and in the EU.
However, there is little known about the manufacturing origin and practices of bed-in-a-box companies that may not be set up as a business the same way that established companies in the EU and America are. We don’t know what laws they’re listening to or choosing to ignore and pay a fine for later.
Organic cotton and wool, natural flame retardants, high-quality steel, and nontoxic foams are the best types of products to be used when you're making a mattress. Completely stable chemicals used during manufacturing won’t off-gas or cause problems with odors in your home. Plus, you want beds that aren't made with dangerous chemicals like formaldehyde, PBDE, phthalates, or heavy metals. One easy way to ensure you bed is safe is to look for third-party certifications, such as Certi-PUR for foam and Oeko-Tex for fibers, which means they don't contain harmful chemicals.
Some off-brand mattresses promote a "buy it, stuck with it" policy. Not all manufacturers fully warranty their beds and several have hidden fees if you do put forth a warranty claim. When purchasing something that will cradle your sleeping form each and every night, be sure that the company selling it is honest, trustworthy, and provides excellent customer service.
Mattresses that hang around warehouses and are shipped from faraway ports have a higher risk of exposure to pests and vermin. Companies dedicated to quality package their mattresses in high-tech materials designed keep out pests but allow the mattress to breathe. Make sure you purchase from a brand that cares about how they make and how they store their mattresses.
Buying US-made products from US companies does support the domestic economy to a degree. US and EU manufacturers also have much stricter labor guidelines designed to protect workers from danger and exploitation such as OSHA standards, minimum wage, and child labor laws. Smaller companies that aren’t as regulated, potentially from far overseas, may not have as ethical of business practices.
When determining whether or not mattress manufacturing origin matters, possible effects on the environment are important for a lot of shoppers, particularly people looking to live a greener lifestyle. The US and EU have stricter laws here as well. Additionally, importing means fossil fuels and potential pollution as well.
Price, of course, is one of the most important considerations for many when buying a mattress. Generally, imported products are more affordable since manufacturing and labor costs are lower, with the exception of luxury European brands such as Magniflex. However, domestically-produced mattresses have reduced shipping costs, so many brands continue to be fairly competitive with imported lines. And remember, especially inexpensive models from brands that you don’t know may be so cheap because the products used are not of good quality.
]]>A good mattress is one of the most important investments you can make in your life. You spend a third of your life sleeping and having a good mattress is essential for resting soundly and awaking ready for the next day. A great way to improve the longevity of your mattress is to cover it in a waterproof mattress protector.
A mattress protector may seem like a redundant item, but if you want to guarantee that your mattress warranty is sustained and any problems with your mattress are taken care of when you file a claim, a mattress protector is a must. Spills, surface stains, etc. can make a warranty claim invalid, and a mattress protector is the only way you'll be able to stop something from reaching the mattress should a spill or accident occur.
You've spent possibly thousands on your new mattress, why risk that investment when there is an easy yet effective way to guarantee that any warranty claim you file won't be denied for something you could have anticipated.
Plus, when any fluid gets into a memory foam mattress the integrity and feel can be destroyed, leaving you with a mattress that doesn’t perform the way it should. Keeping your mattress padding and foam dry and clean is imperative, and a mattress protector can do that.
What precisely does a mattress protector do for your mattress though?
Mattress protection typically comes in two types and is usually a waterproof mattress cover that protects either the top layer of the bed as a mattress protector or encases the entire mattress for full protection. Either type works, however there may be some significant differences in how they function and feel.
Most mattress protectors sit over your bed like a fitted sheet. They don’t cover the entire mattress, but do safeguard it against the majority of unintended spills, bacteria, and some allergens. Their water-resistant materials still allow for considerable airflow and breathability. There are also several made with cooling technology and Tencel fibers for a cool, soft sleeping environment. Plus, if you mattress is cooling, you'll still experience those benefits.
Choose a mattress protector if you:
Mattress encasements are similar to protectors. They protect your mattress, but these are designed for maximum protection. Mattress encasements surround the entire mattress from top to bottom, delivering 360° coverage. They typically zipper around the entire mattress and are fantastic for keeping out things like bed bugs. You may be able to feel them a bit more through your sheets, though more modern models are designed to be soft and comforting. Removing them for laundering does take more effort than taking off a traditional mattress protector, so if you have trouble with your hands, standing, and don't have help, these might be difficult for you.
Choose a mattress encasement if you:
There are several mattress protectors and encasements available on our site. Some offer simple stain protection while others also deliver protection against allergens and irritants like bed bugs, mold, dust mites, and dead skin. There are also some that provide cooling, quilted tops, and different fabric options such as terry. To find a quality protector or encasement, consider these tips:
Most protectors use moisture-resistant fabrics but still allow for some breathability. Terry cloth, polyester/Lycra, and even vinyl are popular materials that repel water with breathability maintained.
Mattress protectors of any quality should block out liquid immediately after contact, but only some can keep it out for an extended period of time. You'll want to ensure that it can keep liquid out for as long as you will potentially needed based on your circumstances. Long-lasting repelling can impact breathability so keep that in mind as well.
Your unique situation will determine the mattress protector you need, and there are several available that can serve you. Shop our mattress protectors and encasements here.
]]>A mattress does not last forever. It is suggested that you shop for a new mattress every seven to ten years. The following is a brief overview of the four main mattress types. These types are standard and are what you will see in any mattress store or website.
Steel coils make up an innerspring mattress. There are several different types of spring systems ranging from a single unit to individually wrapped pocketed coils. The shape, gauge, design and coil count can vary from mattress to mattress. All innerspring systems are covered with padding and upholstery, normally a foam or fiber. The myth is that the higher the coil counter the better contouring support the sleeper is going to get. Coil size and type all play a part in your personal comfort level.
Foam mattresses use one or more different types of foam systems for support. The foam can be polyurethane, visco elastic (memory foam) or latex. Often, you will find that the foams contain gel materials. The shapes and densities of the foam can come in a variety of different levels, with features to disperse heat and different comfort levels.
Air beds are a lot less common and can be quite hard to find. Air beds us an adjustable air chamber as their support system. The air chambers on mattress that are used long term (unlike camping mattresses) are covered by padding or upholstery. Air beds allow you to constantly adjust the firmness and normally have the ability to control each side individually.
A hybrid mattress is a combination of steel coils and foam. When there are two partners with different sleeping styles, a hybrid mattress can often be a middle ground for both styles. When utilizing a hybrid mattress the level of support can be a bit higher, because you have a solid coil base that the foam is resting on. With less foam in the bottom of the mattress, it has been said that the hybrids tend to sleep a bit cooler.

]]>Mattress preference all comes down to personal likes and requirements. There is no mattress that is technically better than another one. They are all made different with different materials and different purposes in mind.
When you are considering your mattress choice you should focus on what your needs and preferences are. Memory foam mattresses are experiencing a long burst of popularity. The advancements in gel memory foam will extend the popularity for even longer. There is speculation that memory foam will not offer the same amount of support that you would get from an innerspring mattress.
Memory foam and gel memory foam mattresses have benefits that innerspring mattresses do not. A higher degree of pressure relief and longer average lifespan are two of the key benefits to memory foam over innerspring mattresses.
One of the negatives that often pop up in many reviews is that memory foam and gel foam mattresses tend to warm up your body. This can occur and can be solved with a thin mattress topper between the foam and your body. Newer gel foam mattresses are claiming that they have a cooling effect, but still manage to get mixed responses. This isn’t a problem you tend to have when you are using an innerspring mattress.
A memory foam mattress literally engulfs your body when you lay on it. One could compare the feeling to melting into the mattress. When sharing a bed of memory foam, tossing and turning will not bother your sleeping partner, as the foam takes most of the movement.
On the negative side of memory foam, users have said that the memory foam makes it very difficult to move at all. There are complaints of the mattresses being too soft or thick mattresses being too firm, the same would apply to any mattress in actuality. The problem of a groove forming in the foam may occur as well if you sleep in the same position all the time. These are all issues that can be affected by the density of memory foam that you decide to use. Buying a memory foam mattress will take some research and is normally best when you can try a few out in a store first. Not all foam will feel the same.
When trying to decide between memory foam and innerspring mattresses, there is a way to meet in the middle. A hybrid mattress consists of both an innerspring system with memory foam layers on top. This way you are getting the comfort that a memory foam mattress provides with the core base that many sleepers appreciate in an innerspring mattress.

]]>Most mattresses are filled with an innerspring system, a foam core or even air. A waterbed is exactly what the name suggests, a bed filled with water. The waterbed burst onto the scene in the 70’s and got extremely popular in the 80’s and 90’s. They eventually developed a novelty reputation, and were occasionally seen as a hassle due to the difficulty to move them, and risk of a leak.
Waterbeds came in two types. The first was a hard-sided model that featured a rectangular wooden frame with a plywood deck that the mattress would sit on. Soft-sided waterbeds resembled a traditional mattress cosmetically and could fit into most existing bedroom furniture.
There were some benefits to sleeping on a waterbed that you wouldn’t necessarily get on a traditional mattress. Waterbeds would conform to the shape of your body, which minimizes pressure points and will let your muscles relax. Often, this would be helpful to a person that suffers from back problems. Someone that is confined to a bed would also benefit from a waterbed, as they lower the chance of bedsores.
Dust mites are a non-existent problem when sleeping on a waterbed, since nothing can get inside the mattress. Keeping the mattress clean is made a lot easier when using a waterbed, because mattress covers can be easily washed. The result is a healthier sleeping environment.
An added feature of a waterbed was the ability to control the temperature of the water with a thermostat. Some waterbeds even had the ability to separate zones, so that each side of the bed can be controlled individually. This then allows yourself or your partner to choose the preference that fits your individual style of comfort and support.
A waterbed can be fun and beneficial to your body, but there are a lot of potential issues that are attached to them. One of the biggest problems being the potential for a leak. If you are a renter you are probably used to seeing a stipulation in the lease that says you are not allowed to have a waterbed. A small leak could be fixed, but if it goes unnoticed it could do a lot of damage, especially on the second floor of a home. There is also the problem of moving the bed. Once it is full, you have to completely drain the bed in order to even be able to lift the mattress. It is almost impossible to store a waterbed, because removing every drop of water is virtually impossible, which creates a huge risk for mold.
Finally, the United States National Institute of Child Health and Human Development advise against placing babies on a waterbed or any other soft surface that could obstruct their breathing. Infants without upper body control cannot lift their faces away from the plastic cover, risking suffocation.
Waterbeds have shown to be more work and pain than they are worth. They don't provide the support you need, and they famously transfer movement. If you're looking for something with more bounce and an affordable rate, we can help you find an innerspring mattress that will suit all your needs.
If you are having trouble sleeping at night and looking for different options, contact us here at BedPlanet.Com. We would love to work out what would be best for you to get a peaceful night of sleep.

]]>Innerspring mattresses are the most popular and oldest technology used in mattresses. Both plush and firm innerspring mattresses use a steel coil support system. Innerspring mattresses offer exceptional support and have been a tried and true staple of mattress construction for several years.
One of the myths of the innerspring mattress is that the springs can cause uncomfortable pressure points on the shoulders and hips, which in turn causes back pain in the morning and tossing and turning during the night. If you weigh over 250 lbs or are sleeping on an old or poorly crafted bed, this can be true. Newer innerspring mattresses and those with better quality padding on the top, usually don’t cause these pressure points as much. However, laying on one will be the only way to tell if you like how the springs feel.
Additionally, that padding or upholstery material, including various foams, fiber, and even additional layers of smaller steel springs, have been improved over time to offer that cushioning comfort most people want. There are several types of spring systems, including those with springs connected into a single unit and units with individually-wrapped, pocketed coils. The spring shapes, designs, coil gauge and the number of coils can also vary.
When using an innerspring mattress, you can benefit from a firm layer of responsive support and a cushioning layer on top. This responsiveness in addition to the greater airflow available in an innerspring mattress are two of the most appealing benefits of an innerspring bed. These mattresses tend to help a person sleep cooler and the responsive, or bouncy, feel allows for easy maneuvering in the bed and a feeling like the bed is adjusting to your position instantaneously.
One of the biggest benefits of an innerspring mattress is that there are several on the market. Innerspring mattresses, especially those with pillowtops, can provide a variety of comfort levels from ultra firm to ultra soft. From high-end luxury to very affordable, you'll find quite a few innerspring options on the market and more are coming every day.
With such a good selection of mattresses to choose from, you can also get a great deal on an innerspring, and there are also several thicknesses and mattress toppers available. You can also find options that offer financing. Sealy has quite a few of these.
With the rise of the new mattress types, such as memory foam or latex, the innerspring industry has adapted, providing the tried-and-true technology of steel springs that utilize upper sections of memory foam, polyurethane foam, fiber, latex, and more to provide that conforming feel. An example of this is the Stearns & Foster line.
The innerspring mattress is also so familiar. People know and understand these types of beds and because they have been around for so many years, they are easy to buy, easy to find, and easy to understand what you're getting when you buy one.
If you need or like a firm bed, innerspring beds can be a good choice. In many cases, an innerspring bed is a healthier option than a hard foam bed. This firm support is also provided while maintaining a bouncy feel. If you want the bed to bounce you up a bit as you move, whether you need the help to roll over because of any ailments or you simply enjoy the sensation, an innerspring mattress will be best.

]]>Memory foam mattresses reduce pressure points and conform to the body in a way that springs just can’t. Less pressure created in your body helps to increase blood circulation for better sleep. Memory Foam mattresses also encourage healthier sleep environments since they are naturally anti-dust mite and anti-microbial. This is a great feature for people with asthma or allergies. With a memory foam mattress, you’ll be able to turn during the night, without interrupting your partner’s sleep because the foam doesn’t transfer movement.
Gel memory foam has a reputation for being more durable than traditional memory foam. Gel memory foam mattresses are typically denser and are even more effective at reducing pressure points. There are several brands that make memory foam mattresses including Tempur-Pedic and Sealy, which we sell here. The top name brand is Tempur-Pedic, and it offers mattresses that provide cooling, adaptive support, and was inducted into the Space Technology Hall of Fame in 1998 for improving life on Earth through innovations developed for space.
Many foam mattresses are also known to be more enveloping, which can be great for those who enjoy plush, warm beds. Plus, these beds can be more comfortable for those who sleep on their sides, as they won’t cause the pressure to build up on your joints.
There are quite a few benefits to sleeping on memory foam. Below, we'll cover the top five.
Memory foam mattresses actively mold to your body in response to heat and pressure, which means that they can evenly distribute body weight and then return to its original shape once pressure is removed. Our customers often say that they feel like they're melting into the mattress.
Previously, it was a concern that memory foam mattresses absorb and hold onto heat, making some feel uncomfortably warm during the night. However, modern memory foam mattresses have been designed with cooling features and advanced temperature-regulating features that can help you sleep deeper and cooler.
Memory foam mattresses provide health benefits by relieving pain, body aches, and soreness as well as helping your body to recover more quickly from injuries. In fact, the material displaces pressure from points of pain throughout your body. How does it do this? Well, areas of pain have a slightly higher temperature than the rest of the body, and memory foam is designed to soften when it gets warmer and mold to the body by adding or reducing pressure to the area.
According to Environment, Health, and Safety Online, after a few years a typical mattress contains anywhere from 100,000 to 10 million dust mites. Memory foam mattresses, however, are made of polyurethane foam, a collection of fibers that prevent allergy-causing dust mites from accumulating inside the bed. Unlike standard mattresses, memory foam's dense composition actively prevents the build up of allergens over time.
One of the best choices for couples, memory foam mattresses don't transfer movement and reduce disturbances when a partner moves around in bed. When your partner is tossing and turning, you'll barely feel it thanks the the shock absorption of the memory foam.
While sleep needs and preferences vary, memory foam beds offer a smart alternative to a standard mattress. Natural pain relief, molding support, and minimal motion transfer. You'll find it all in memory foam.

]]>Hybrid mattresses combine two support systems- memory foam layers along with an innerspring system. Hybrid mattresses are a great way to experience the pressure-relieving benefits of memory foam while retaining the classic feel of an innerspring mattress.
Several people are curious about the benefits of memory foam and gel memory foam mattresses but are hesitant to make make the jump to an all-foam mattress. This is where hybrid mattresses can be wonderful.
A hybrid mattress combines innerspring with memory foam, so you get the benefits of both technologies. Hybrids allow sleepers to enjoy the perfect blend of sturdy support and contouring comfort. They typically have the same size coils as what you would find inside innerspring mattresses with a top layer of memory foam support and contouring.
The “bounciness” you get from an innerspring mattress is found the coil system, and the layers of memory foam create that unmistakable enveloping embrace. Hybrids also tend to be shaped more like a traditional bed, instead of the low profile, slim lines of an all-foam bed. We have a large collection of Sealy and Stearns & Foster hybrid mattresses, and you’re sure to find one that will fulfill your needs.
But what is it specifically that makes hybrid mattresses attractive to people who are on the hunt for a great night’s sleep?
Memory foam mattresses are known for that slow sinking feeling, innerspring mattresses are very bounce, but hybrid mattresses combine a bit of both. The typically pocket-coil innerspring core of a hybrid mattress allows for more bounce and the foam top allows for a bit of that melting in sensation.
Related to that, the top comfort layers provide contouring support, hugging your body while you sleep and the pocket-coil springs help to provide the lift you want to keep your spine in alignment. Hybrids also provide ample support with the pocket-spring and foam combination with body contouring that provides pressure point relief.
One of the biggest complaints about the original memory foam technology is that it holds onto too much heat. Hybrids, however, provide a cooler sleeping environment thanks to the breathability of the innerspring core. In fact, innerspring coils transfer heat 28% better than traditional memory foam. Additionally, there are several hybrids that now offer top foam layers that have been made with cooling technology.
Edge support refers to the structural integrity of the perimeter of a mattress. Hybrid mattresses offer excellent edge support because of the structural spring system. They support you all the way out to the edges, increasing the overall surface area you can use to sleep on.
While the reduction of motion transfer isn’t as impressive as that of a memory foam mattress, hybrid mattresses are still a step above your typical spring mattress. Pocket-coils consist of individually wrapped springs, so any sinking or motion is isolated to wherever weight is placed and the foam on top of the springs helps to absorb motion turbulence as well.
Some people worry that the springs of their innerspring mattress will start poking out here and there, particularly as the mattress ages. As hybrid mattresses age, it’s unlikely this will happen thanks to the top layers of foam that create a protective barrier between you and the springs.

]]>Many mattress stores use comfort and support interchangeably, but these two terms are very different and refer to separate benefits you receive from your mattress. Having adequate support ensures that you minimize your chance of back pain. Lack of support in your mattress is one of the top reasons for back pain today. Having adequate comfort in your mattress ensures that the rest of your body is comfortable. You are addressing comfort when you are talking about pressure relief in your shoulders or hips. We will get a little more in-depth in a moment, just remember. Support refers to your back, comfort refers to your body. Most mattress collections use the same coil system, which means their support will be the same. While the comfort level may vary (sometimes wildly).
Support refers to the mattresses ability to resist your body's weight and provide sufficient pressure to keep your spine the proper alignment so you can sleep more comfortably. Without adequate support, your mattress is almost sure to give you back pain.
The comfort of any mattress is provided by the top layers of various materials. With such a wide variety of materials at their disposal, mattress manufacturers can create almost any comfort level you can imagine. We include the comfort level of each mattress in each listing so you can get a better idea of what to expect from each model.
A firmer mattress doesn't necessarily mean that it is a more supportive mattress. The support of each of our innerspring mattresses is provided by the innerspring coil system. This coil system is almost always the same in any of our mattress collections, which means the firm and plush versions of any of our mattress collections provide the same amount of support. If you have found a mattress that has the right amount of support for you, every mattress within that collection will provide the same amount of support whether it is a firm mattress or an ultra-plush one.
Choosing the right mattress has a lot to do with how you sleep. Before you go mattress shopping be sure you know what type of sleeper you are, (stomach, back or side) This will play the largest part in the comfort level you prefer for the best sleep. Back and stomach sleepers will likely prefer something firmer to prevent their back curving in uncomfortable ways whereas side sleepers will likely prefer more plush comfort feels to help reduce the pressure commonly felt on the shoulders and hips.

Most modern mattresses include a no-flip design with individually wrapped coils designed for resilient support and longevity without having to flip your mattress every few months to ensure your mattress stays comfortable.
With a one-sided mattress, the materials are of higher quality and designed to be much more resilient so that you don't have to flip your mattress. These higher quality materials and the convenience of not having to flip your mattress have proven over the years that one-sided mattresses are a better option and double-sided mattresses are practically extinct now.
In years past, the two-sided mattress offered a simple way to provide better longevity by flipping the mattress to the other side to spread out the wear and tear that every mattress accrues. Consumers did not favor this approach due to flipping a queen or king size mattress could be quite difficult especially for one person. Plus, spreading out wear and tear isn't always the best idea.
Wouldn't it be better to improve the overall quality of a mattress and make it resilient enough to stand up to normal use over the years? Many mattress companies agreed this was a better path forward.
With a one-sided mattress, you're getting better materials with a much better design for less money. Not having to duplicate the top layer of comfort materials ensures that the mattress manufacturer spends less to make a one-sided mattress. This raises the overall quality of your mattress while lowering the cost. This fact is perfectly evident in the Sealy Posturepedic mattresses and Stearns & Foster mattresses. All of which are one-sided mattresses that offer superior quality to anything the company had ever released in the past.
This technology has also led us to create a much better version of the pillowtop and euro top mattresses. With the superior quality of materials used inside the mattresses, the pillowtop can be as fluffy and cloud-like as possible. We don’t need to worry about compressing this layer because of flipping the mattress.
Additionally, hybrid mattresses need this technology to perform as they are made from both an innerspring core and a memory foam top. Mattresses nowadays focus on creating the best experience possible without having to worry about flipping the mattress.
You'll likely find that 9.9/10 mattresses on the site are non-flip mattresses that will serve you for years to come without having to worry about flipping it to ensure even wear.

]]>Visco elastic foam was developed by NASA more than 50 years ago to react to body height and weight to contour the body and provide much more comfortable transportation into space and re-entry into the atmosphere. Since its inception, it has been re-appropriated into a number of things including mattresses, bed toppers and much more.
Visco Elastic memory foam is designed to react to body heat and weight to conform to the body, and to return to its original state once the heat is removed. When used in a mattress this effect produces a personalized comfort in the mattress that is unparalleled in any other mattress technology.
The conforming effect of the memory foam reduces pressure points typically found in an innerspring mattress. This helps you get to sleep faster, and stay asleep longer, so you can wake the following morning refreshed and ready to take on your day.
This memory foam can be made in almost any comfort level you desire. This ensures that no matter what position you sleep in, that a memory foam mattress will provide you excellent comfort.
The body contouring effect helps reduce pressure points in the body which minimizes tossing and turning. It also does not transfer motion across the bed. What does this mean for you? If you have a partner that tosses and turns through the night or ends up having to get up several times a night, or gets up earlier than you to start their day. The movement they create in getting up is far less likely to wake you up as it won't shake the bed. This ensures you get the most out of your nights sleep, with far fewer interruptions.
Visco Elastic memory foam has been improved over the years to address a number of issues and provide much better comfort and support. Many people used to run into heat retention issues, and would wake up sweating in the middle of the night because their memory foam mattress retained all of the heat. Since then, gel memory foam and open cell structure memory foam have been released to help address this issue.
Gel Memory foam is the combination of memory foam and millions of gel beads that help provide the best in pressure relief and is 12X more effective at dissipating heat that traditional memory foam.
Open cell structure memory foam has a lot in common with traditional memory foam but is structured in such a way that the cells are able to breathe much more easily, promoting airflow and reducing heat retention.
Mattress manufacturers such as Sealy have included other materials in their mattresses to further improve the temperature regulating properties of their memory foam mattresses. The Hybrid Premier and Optimum mattresses use OUTLAST, which provides superior temperature regulating benefits. OUTLAST is the same material used in a lot of different sports apparel, as well as astronauts suits to help keep the astronauts a uniform temperature.
The density of the memory foam is the biggest factor in determining whether or not the mattress will provide quality comfort and support. Each of our memory foam mattresses provide at least 4 lbs per ft density which ensures that your mattress will be comfortable and resilient enough to maintain its shape for years to come.

Shop Memory Foam MattressesMany mattress manufacturers use "Pillow Top" and "Euro Top" interchangeably, which has confused many consumers as to the difference between these two mattress types. With regard to comfort or support the differences are minimal, so much so that it is doubtful that you would notice it. There is a very obvious and significant difference in design with respect to the way the extra cushion is added to the top.
A pillow top mattress is just as the name describes, a mattress with an extra pillow-like layer on one or both sides. This extra layer is added to improve the softness and comfort of the mattress. This layer is stitched to the top of the mattress so that it provides uniform and adequate comfort throughout the mattress.
A euro top mattress, while similar to the pillow top has one significant design difference. Instead of the pillow layer looking like it's sitting on top (and separate from) the mattress, the pillow layer in a euro top mattress is stitched flush with the edge of the mattress so it looks like an extra layer attached to the top of the mattress. This creates a uniform appearance and makes all of the layers look as if they are one piece.
While the functionality of these two types of mattresses is the same, the design, or how the mattress looks is different. Will you notice the difference? Likely not. In fact, once you have linens and a comforter on your mattress it is entirely possible that you will forget that your mattress is either a pillow top or a euro top. To you, it will just be a comfortable place to sleep each night.

]]>There’s no way around it. This pandemic is up-heaving every part of life for so many and it’s a stressful time. Creating a safe sanctuary in your home can help you to stay comfortable and stress-free while you Stay Inside.
Self-care isn’t selfish, even in a time like this. If you want to keep yourself sane and make staying indoors for the long run more bearable, taking time out for yourself is crucial. Recharging gives you the fuel you need to perform everyday tasks, deal with emergencies, and manage the new responsibilities you might have during this time.
If you can devote just one day a week to self-care, maybe even just half of the day, you can improve your immune system’s defenses, refresh tired internal stores, and be in a better emotional place to handle the next pandemic update. With the possibility of having more free time now with the Stay Inside mandate, this is the perfect time to work on your own self-care routine.
Burn out is even more of a problem as we all start to tout more emotional and professional weight, potentially even acting as full-time parents right now or taking care of a sick loved one. Don’t burn the candle at both ends and take no time to rest. Make time for this care and allow us to help you create the perfect space at home to do so.
Truly relax during this special time. Pull out your favorite fragrant lotions, bath fixens, and scented candles. Make your bedroom and bathroom into a private spa and escape all this chaos for a moment.
Crystal healer and interior designer Rashia Bell once said that, “A bedroom is a place where you allow yourself to recharge and reboot [...] part of your self-care routine in that it’s a space for the rituals [...] you use to inspire and kick off your day, or in the evening to feel gratitude for the things you accomplished. A bedroom is a great place to [...] unabashedly give yourself what you need.”
Bell and her partner Elizabeth Kohn, the founders of The Cristalline, have come up with several ways to make your bedroom into a high-vibe sanctuary that’s all about you.
Bedrooms are sacred spaces. They’re the spot you go to recharge and take a break from the world, particularly now, so make them reflect you as much as possible. If you want to make it look totally different than the rest of your home, now’s the time to do. After all, you need now more than ever a place to feel safe and secure. If you want to stuff it full of knick-knacks that mean the world to you and make you smile, do it.
Looking for your essentials or that smell-good lotion you love is no fun and it can keep you from de-stressing the way you need to. Keep your dresser and vanity surfaces organized to ensure that finding things is streamlined. This way you can get everything you need to relax quickly and easily, ensuring your chill-out routine is that much more productive.
Maintaining a clear main surface will also help if you need to use it for something, like a spot for an essential oil diffuser or candle. And when you group like things together, it tends to be more visually appealing and soothing to the eye.
If you’re looking for more storage for your bedroom, try to find a sturdy dresser or chest that can keep all your extra clothes and even your jewelry safe and sound while out of sight.
Now that your care station is looking good, your extended time indoors can be a great chance to take care of your skin. Exfoliate. Use a face mask. Apply specialty serums. If you’ve always wanted to try a proper shave, now’s the time. Steam your skin, use a premium shaving cream, and be as precise and detailed as you want. You have the time. No rushing.
If you’re feeling particularly extra, go for a full-on makeover. Check out some YouTube videos or online tutorials and create a fun look and a feel-good sense of accomplishment. Messed up? No worries. You have time, just take it off and try again.
Mood lighting is especially important when you’re trying to create a relaxing space. Keep it bright and airy in the morning when you need energy and tone it down at night when you’re looking to zen out and chill. Lights on dimmers, a handful of smaller lamps, and natural light options are the best. Control your lighting to create different moods at different times whenever you want.
And let’s not forget our good old fave, lighting candles. The soothing light they offer is usually accompanied by a lovely scent, and they are go-to’s for creating a soothing mood. If you’re worried about the flame, you can try the electric candles that mimic the flickering of the original and scent the room through essential oils.
Your feet deserve to feel great too. If you can, now’s the time to treat yourself to a foot massager. You can find some very soothing foot massaging units on the site to help your feet get the good rub-down they need during this stressful time. We also recommend looking at the handheld and personal massage units on the site that can help you to knead out those pesky knots in your shoulders and back. The ones that get worse with stress and long days at the computer.
Your bedroom is a great place to create a special spot, maybe a small altar, that represents you. If this seems a bit weird or you’re not familiar with the concept, you can think of it this way. This special area centers around the things that make you happy and feel recharged. It doesn’t need to be anything formal or fancy. Even just a pile of pillows in the corner with a good book and your favorite blanket can be your special spot.
When you wake up in the morning you want to be greeted with happy things that are meaningful. That way you’ll wake up inspired each day. Plus, in the evening it becomes the perfect place to de-stress and let go of things that might be worrying you.
If you need some inspiration, maybe being near a window and seeing outside enjoying some sunlight will recharge you. So, set up your special spot at your window with an end table and extra pillows. Put photos you love there, have your favorite book always handy, and light a fragrant candle whenever you’re going there to read or relax.
Take a peek at these comfy corners and see if that gets your inspiration going to create your own.
When you’re enjoying your new special spot, sip on some tea. It’s full of antioxidants, won’t overload you on caffeine, and the warmth from the mug can be incredibly relaxing. Then, escape all this with a good book or some funny podcasts or magazines. Try out something that is sure to lighten the mood and isn’t too sad. Catharsis is good, but don’t become so obsessed with the pandemic that you can’t step away from it for a bit. It’ll just put you in a feedback loop of bad news.
If you looking for a good place for a stretch and you’re a fan of meditation or yoga, your special spot can certainly be used for that. Swap the pillows or chair for a yoga mat so that you have a centered place for you to stretch, move, and replace any anxiety with good vibes. Throw on some meditation jams or classical, and it will provide a time where you’re out of your head and worrying less.
Now that you’ve set up a special place just for you, make sure nothing invades that space that you don’t want. I’ve set up a pile of pillows and blankets in the corner and while I don’t mind my husband or pet joining me in some relaxation, there will be absolutely no mention of work or the pandemic while there.
Imagine trying to relax with all that in your brain. It won’t work. Especially for all of us working from home isn’t important to not store work papers or devices in the bedroom. If your laptop is used predominately for work, it needs a new home. Got a book your reading for work? Don’t do that in your room. This is a work-free zone. If you work from your bed, maybe limit how often you’re doing that and whenever you’re finished, make sure to put that stuff away.
Our smart devices are often an issue for this because we need our phones, but use “do not disturb” and silent as much as you can. When you’re practicing self-care, it’s okay to scroll on your phone, but you might also like to set the thing down and see what more creative and rejuvenating activities you can try out. Paint, read, scribble doodles and silly poems. This is for you. They don’t have to be good.
Essential oils not only make your house smell great, but they can also help you to feel less stressed. Feeling down or have low energy, try a citrus or peppermint scent to perk you up. There are even scents that can ease headaches and stomach upsets. Lavender, frankincense, chamomile, and sandalwood help to ease anxiety and even help you sleep.
You sleep there, you rest there, and now with the Stay Home order, you may even be working there. Making your bed setup as comfortable and plush as you can right now will help you to sleep soundly and recover after long, stressful days.
Start at the base. If you were planning on getting a mattress because yours just doesn’t cut it anymore, now’s a good time to shop for one if you can. There are several sales that were extended and floor models that can give you incredible support at a big discount.
Plus, we offer 0% Interest, No-Money-Down Financing for up to 72 months. We want you to be comfortable without breaking your bank, and we’re happy to work with you.
We also have some incredibly soft and smooth sheets from Malouf, plush and cooling pillows from them, and fluffy comforters that can keep you cozy. Malouf also offers an impressive weighted blanket that can help with anxiety.
Let’s dive into that a bit.
Weighted blankets are designed to mimic the benefits of deep touch pressure therapy, and research has shown that they can reduce anxiety, boost oxytocin levels, and help those with sensory processing disorders feel more relaxed. These blankets can be especially helpful when you’re feeling especially stressed because of the pandemic.
A weighted blanket looks just like a regular blanket, the important part in the inside. In fact, the Malouf Anchor Blankets we carry look incredible and they are so soft. I love mine.
Unlike a regular blanket, however, a weighted blanket has glass beads or pellets stuffed into pockets that provide the extra weight. In most constructions, these self-contained pockets help to evenly distributed the weight across the surface of the blanket.
Some blankets have pockets from about six to eight inches, while some provide smaller pockets of four inches. This can be preferable because the smaller size is better at keeping the weight evenly distributed. Most blankets are also provided in a couple of weight and size options. Why? Because weighted blankets are designed to be used by one person. You want a size and weight that will singularly suit you.
Cozying up under a blanket is frequently a soothing activity for anyone. You might even have a favorite blanket or had one as a child. Feeling warm and cozy under a blanket feels nice.
Weighted blankets take the advantages of a regular blanket and match them with a therapy tool. First developed by autism researcher Dr. Temple Grandin, he observed cows being led through a compression device created to hold them in place for their vaccinations. She remarked that the cows were calmer and more docile as the machine squeezed them.
Dr. Grandin is on the autism spectrum herself and remembered how being hugged as a child frequently eased her anxiety and sensory processing disorder. However, she also understand that on some occasions, hugging had irritated or frightened her. She was curious if there was a way to assist those with autism and sensory processing disorders get the benefits of a hug without feeling confined or experiencing unwanted contact from a person.
Taking notes from the farm, she created a squeeze machine or hug machine, a therapy tool that applies firm but gentle pressure across the body. Like a hug, it encourages the release of oxytocin- a happiness hormone.
This is the science behind the weighted blanket- a squeezing, firm pressure that’s distributed to ease anxiety and stress without needing an actual hug.
Selecting the correct weight for a weighted blanket is the most important step. Thankfully, it’s very simple. A blanket should be roughly 10-12% of your body weight, within a pound or two. If you weight about 150 pounds you’d want a 15-pound blanket. If you’re 200 pounds, a 20-pound blanket will work nicely. However, this isn’t an exact rule of law. If a 15-pound blanket feels better than a 20-pound blanket or vice versa, follow your heart.
There are about 40 million people with anxiety in America, making it one of the most frequently reported mental illnesses in the country. According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), anxiety is exceptionally treatable. However, they also report that only 36.9% of people with anxiety get the treatment they need.
Anxiety makes everyday life quite difficult, and it can make sleeping particularly troublesome. A study observed the vital signs of adults using weighted blankets and found that 63% of participants said they felt less anxious while using them.
The study also recorded a 33% drop in electrodermal activity, which is a response generated by the sweat glands often in response to stress. Those with anxiety often feel “exposed” when laying prone and a weighted blanket can assist to ease stress and finally get a good night’s sleep.
As an anxiety sufferer myself, I love the feeling of the weighted blanket when I’m going to bed. With times so crazy, I think we all could use an item like this that’s designed to help us feel more calm.
With your bedroom looking beautiful and ready for your self-care routine, you can get started on showering yourself in some much-needed love.
So, don’t miss out on the chance to make your Stay Home time as pleasant as it can be with the perfect cozy space. This is how you’ll be able to enjoy a stress-free retreat right in the comfort of your bedroom.

]]>Right now, times are strange and confusing. A pandemic is no laughing matter and the stress can be harmful. Plus, with the Stay Home pandemic, your life and your body don’t realize that things are different. This is where a massage right in the comfort of your own bed can be amazing.
As this disease continues to wreak havoc, we must remain indoors for everyone’s safety. But what do you do about the massage that your body is absolutely craving? If you’ve had a few massages out and about before or maybe even have a Massage Envy card, you know the benefits of massage. Is it possible to enjoy those benefits while you’re working from home in your bed?
Yes!
When you want a way to give your body the attention it needs and deserves, even when you can’t leave home, a massaging adjustable base can provide much-needed relief from daily aches and pains in addition to providing incredible relaxation. Additionally, as a supplementary benefit, when you take home an adjustable base at any time, it’ll be yours for years. You can take advantage of the benefits it provides whenever the mood strikes you and enjoy improved health and overall stress-relief no matter what is going on in the outside world.
The benefits of the massage, even through vibration, are numerous. Studies show the medical benefits include increased circulation, muscle strength, and flexibility, a better range of motion, and quicker muscle recovery following physical activity or workout.
Other health benefits include increased bone density and lessening of the stress hormone cortisol. When your levels of cortisol are increased is does provide alertness because it relates to the fight or flight instinct. However, this makes it more difficult to relax into a sound sleep if they don’t come down.
Massage itself eases the body to sleep by allowing the muscles to relax and with the repetitive pulsations of a massaging adjustable base, you can achieve similar benefits. The motors can also produce a white noise effect, canceling out other surrounding noises and preventing sudden noises from waking you. This all helps you to relax, rest, and sleep easier and faster.
Built-in massage systems in adjustables have become very popular in the past handful of years. With the long list of benefits they provide, it is obvious why. There are so many various settings available, from the intensity of the massage to where it’s located, and they provide valuable relief for people who suffer from stubborn aches and pains, especially back pain. Here are some of the benefits of adjustable beds with massage systems that you:
We all know that massage can be a truly relaxing and therapeutic experience, and too many of us don’t have regular access to massage therapy. When you join together two things designed to make you feel most at ease, massage and your very own bed, you get to experience a truly winning combination. With an adjustable bed with a built-in massage system, you can partake in a massage whenever you wish and at the simple touch of a button.
Plus, massage improves sleep in a number of ways. One of the major advantages of pre-sleep massage is that it doesn’t just relax the mind but it also relaxes the muscles that have become tense throughout the day. As a result of tension that builds up throughout the course of our long day, many of us unconsciously clench several muscles, typically the back and shoulders. Constantly being tense like this and keeping your muscles rigid can cause discomfort and make it hard to relax enough to fall asleep. Alleviating this tension via a massage will help you to sleep easier and more soundly.
Unfortunately, the stresses of life that result in both physical and mental tension are present each and every day, especially now during a pandemic. Worse, most of us don’t have the time or finances to splurge on a professional massage once let alone several times a month. Plus, we can’t go out to the spa right now being under lock-down and even if we could, having to leave home every time you want a massage can be quite the hassle. Driving out for a bit of relief is much more work than you’d have to do if your adjustable base.
All you’ll have to do at that point is drift off and let the massage function soothe away the stress these chaotic times are responsible for.
Massage can assist to soothe your discomforts and stiffness by increasing your blood circulation. And that in itself can help with the recovery of your cells and help to eliminate unwanted antigens from your body. Circulation is a powerful, necessary tool of the body and assisting it in any way can be very beneficial.
As the massage system works your body and muscles, blood is sent through congested areas. This is what assists to improve circulation. Simultaneously, massage helps to eliminate lactic acid from your muscles, which works to relieve tension and muscular discomfort.
Improving your circulation can have a number of helpful effects, including lessened fatigue as well as encouraging better muscle repair.
Adjustable beds with massage can also assist to decrease inflammation and swelling of your joints. That means your aches and pains can be temporarily minimized. In fact, some studies have shown that massage can be helpful specifically for those who are dealing with body pain as well as cancer, heart surgery, and migraines. When you can’t get up and move around as much because you can’t leave the houses, these bases can also help prevent sores thanks to the zero gravity position in combination with the vibrating massage.
So many of us struggle to fall and stay asleep each night. An adjustable bed with built-in massage could be the lifesaver we need to get our much-needed rest. Massage can increase serotonin levels, which can naturally assist you to get a full night of sleep. The increase of serotonin in your body can also help to improve the quality of your sleep. Plus, it helps to improve your mood as well. This means that you will wake up feeling refreshed and raring to go.
Sometimes we need a bit of assistance to feel comfortable when we’re sitting or lying in bed. Stiffness, back injuries, medical conditions, pregnancy, they all can make lying flat a bit uncomfortable, that’s where an adjustable is the perfect solution. Depending on your needs at any given point, you can control the head and foot positions of your bed for supreme comfort.
Got a cold? Lift the head up while you’re sleeping to help you breathe better. Are your legs swollen, tired, or healing after an injury or surgery? Raise up the leg section to promote the best circulation and reduce pain.
Moreover, if you’re a back sleeper, moving into the zero gravity position will allow you to take advantage of its benefits while you sleep.
We shouldn’t be watching tons of TV in bed in all honesty. It tricks our brain into thinking the space is for both entertainment and sleep, and it can make it harder to fall asleep at night. It’s important to association bed with sleep. However, for some people, living in their bed is a reality and what if you get injured? Plus, occasionally it's nice to enjoy mornings in bed or evenings falling asleep to a movie. We’re human after all and sometimes want to just chill out in our beds.
Similarly, if you use a laptop or tablet device in bed, perhaps for work if you work from home normally or for now, make sure you’re sitting in the correct position that doesn’t strain your neck, back, or shoulders.
Adjustable beds are also fantastic when dealing with aches and pains is a normal part of your life in general. Dealing with chronic issues or recovering from an injury often means you have to sit or lay in a certain way for appropriate healing or circulation. The support these bases provide can be wonderful for this.
And not only that, common issues like heartburn and snoring can be minimized when you just prop yourself up a bit. Can you achieve that easily if your not the one snoring or you’re suffering heartburn in the middle of the night? Yes. Several adjustable bases are programmed with an anti-snore position. Simply press the button, and your partner will be gently raised just enough to stop them from snoring. Plus, this position can be great for heartburn sufferers too.
There are several conditions that these adjustable bases can help with such as:
Adjustable bases come in a variety of shapes and sizes, and they offer different features. That means that you can find an affordable base to suit your budget and unique needs. From the very reasonable models priced around $600 to the more advanced models that include options such as Bluetooth, which run up to around $1,999 for a twin.
What you should keep in mind is that these bases perform a range of duties, like massage, and can help you with various issues. They’ll assist you to stay comfortable no matter what, and that can mean they save you money in the long run.
After all, going to the doctor’s office on a regular basis because of back pain is more expensive than a one-time purchase of an adjustable base.
Adjustable bases are made to last. Numerous manufacturers provide lengthy warranties and employ the latest in engineering technology to ensure that they continue to serve your needs for years to come.
In addition, when you take good care of your frame and base, it’ll last even longer. Plus, you can buy an Extended Warranty Plan through BedPlanet.Com, which will cover your base for a few more years and give you even more peace of mind.
Lastly, many of the adjustable bases made today come with remarkably efficient motors and mechanisms that have been tested to hold up to repetitive, everyday use and power surges.
There are a number of bases that provide massage. Let’s cover the top-selling models.
Reverie is leading manufacturer of adjustable bases and we just updated our selection to include their newest bases.
In them you’ll find Reverie’s proprietary 3D-Wave™ massage technology that advances the level of furniture massage tremendously. It’s quiet, soothing, and dimensional and works with the Nightstand™ app.
The 3D-Wave™ provides four wave-modes, 10 intensity levels, and a whisper-quiet motor. According to a recent university study, people who used 3D-Wave™ massage at bedtime for 30 minutes woke up happier and said they felt more alert during the day.
This feature can be found in the R650, R550L, the R450HT, and the R400.
Another option is Glideaway. They offer Sleep Enhancement Technology. Here, pulsation of a single vibe motor that has been placed in the mid-back area creates even Total Body Vibration they call Sleep Enhancement Technology. It provides numerous health benefits and eases the user into deeper, higher quality sleep. There are four wave-modes, four levels of intensity, and three different timer options.
The Tempur-Pedic Ergo Extend adjustable base also provides massage. The Tempur Four-Zone Massage offers double the massaging power. You can intensify your mattress massage with four massage zones – two at the head and two at the feet – and three levels of intensity. Plus, the Ergo Extend is the most advanced power base from a trusted name in sleep. It combines advanced technologies to bring you ultra customized comfort, like Perfect Seat.
It also features USB ports, under-bed lighting, zero-gravity presets, and virtually unlimited head and foot lift positions.
In Magniflex, you’ll find a number of bases that provide massage. Their massage function is concentrated in two motors, one at the head and one at the feet.
As sleep technology continues to progress, adjustable bases with a massage feature have become increasingly common. Early massage features were a bit simply, offering only a gentle vibration that didn’t do much for knots and tense muscles, but newer technologies have drastically improved the massage you’ll get from a base.
So what should you look for if you’re in the market for a massaging base? The first thing to keep in mind that might seem a bit counter intuitive is that a more intense massage does not mean a higher quality massage. In fact, it could mean the opposite. When you just crank up the speed and output of the motor, it’ll just vibrate indiscriminately. It won’t focus on certain spots with the appropriate intensity, and it’ll be very loud.
When you want the best in base massage, you’ll want to look for one that uses the latest technology of resonant frequency to offer precise movement at the top of the mattress. In these adjustable massage bases, the natural sound frequency of the mattress is manipulated, vibrating at various intensities. This gives you a natural, soothing, and very quiet massage experience.
Another thing to keep in mind is how easy the base is to use. If you’re constantly having to mess with switches and cords every time you want to start the massage, it won’t be very relaxing. You want to make sure that setting up the massage is easy and straightforward.
Uncomplicated remotes and smart device apps are usually the easiest to navigate.
With Android and iPhone apps available for a number of bases this ups the game even further, with some clever and useful new features. Besides controlling the basic intensity, speed, and location of your massage, apps may allow you to save settings with a memory function.
Additionally, you can program Routines with the Reverie bases. Routines are essentially multiple Comfort Settings programmed into one setting. You can have them start at a specific time even.
For example, you could program the bed to start your favorite massage automatically at 11 PM and continue for 20 minutes, then move to Zero Gravity, and provide a low-intensity massage for another 10 minutes, then end the massage and move into Anti-Snore position so that you can drift off to sleep. All without having to lift a finger.
You can even program the next morning so that your bed wakes you up with a massage at a certain time. A massage alarm? That’s the way to wake up.
When you think about it, massage and sleep make so much sense together. There’s no question that quality sleep is crucial to good health and wellness, especially in a time like now. There’s also no question that being stressed can decrease quality of sleep and make it difficult to fall asleep at all.
A massage can help to relax you and make those stresses melt away. You know that eyes-half-closed, blissfully drowsy, completely relaxed feeling associated with a fantastic massge? That is a physical response, one we can map. And that response can help you to sleep better and feel less stressed, which in turn will help to strengthen your immune system. Though you’ll still need to stay inside.
Research shows that massage can improve sleep for healthy people of all ages as well as those suffering from insomnia, back pain, migraines, and cancer, among other conditions.
So, don’t miss out on the chance to make your Stay Home time as pleasant as it can be. This is how you’ll be able to enjoy a massage right in the comfort of your bed.

We understand that these are crazy times, and as such we’ve put together this article to help you understand exactly what our shipping policies are during this pandemic.
In most situations, our regular shipping options are still valid. This is what you can count on:
White-Glove delivery service is essentially suspended at this time. However, there are situations in which an item can be delivered into your garage and any debris can be removed. In these instances, you’ll want to call for information about whether your order will qualify for this as it will depend on the item, your state, and a number of other factors. Shipping rules are consistently changing as this pandemic develops, so calling ahead of time will likely be your best option.
If you’re especially concerned about your safety when you’re expecting deliveries, sign-free and touch-free delivery options will be your best bet. This would include free standard curbside shipping.
For additional information on our shipping rates and policies during normal shipping, visit the page here.
Depending on the size of the items, the following shipping method will be used. Please note that our standard shipping refers to Parcel Services or Freight unless specified otherwise in the product description. Additionally, during this time your shipment may be delayed due to the demand and limited resources among the carriers.
The chosen parcel service (UPS, DHL, FedEx, or USPS) delivers your wares to your house or other selected location at the front area of the door inside. This service has weight and cube restrictions and not all of our items can move in this manner.
Most of the furniture we sell is just too big or too heavy for regular Parcel Services. They can take care of things like sheets or a mattress cover. A trucking company, also known as a common carrier, is the delivery method of choice for furniture. The carriers will only unload the furniture from their truck and leave at the street level. In some cases, if it's easy for them to maneuver their truck they will bring it inside a garage. In this instance, you’ll need help bringing it into your house and setting it up. Please make sure that you have adequate assistance to move the furniture into place.
White glove delivery is an extra service that is temporarily unavailable right now. What some companies are able to do now is deliver the item into your garage and remove debris. They’ll need to stay back away from you and you from them during the delivery for safety.
Please call, email us at info@bedplanet.com, or reach out through the live chat for details about how to work out the best delivery for your needs in this situation.
When you are accepting your delivery, keep an eye out and clear the space for the drivers. Then as they approach, make sure you give them the space to work and observe the six-foot distance rule. This way, you keep them safe and they keep you safe. This has been requested by several of the delivery providers we work with.
You may also want to be sure to disinfect your boxes, and that’s fine. What you’ll want to do is stay back until the delivery is complete, and then go up to it with disinfectant and spray it down. If you can’t find any in the store you can make it with vinegar and water.
Wait for this to dry and then unbox your product, if you can. If you need to take it inside do so, and then unbox in the right location.
Our largest mattress brands, Tempur-Sealy-Stearns, understand that shipping during this time is going to be affected. They’ve released their own statement about what they are doing during the pandemic.
“The continued health and safety of our customers and employees is our first priority. Due to the evolving circumstances surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus), delivery of your Tempur-Pedic® mattress and/or adjustable base may be delayed or impacted over the next several weeks.”
Like we talked about this is to be expected, but we were told that if a warehouse or distribution center is closed near you, they will work on your order at the next one over to ensure delivery is possible.
Tempur has also stated, “For your wellbeing and the protection of our delivery agents, we will not be able to offer in-home delivery or set-up/installation services throughout the coming weeks. For your convenience, we’ll provide curbside delivery or shipment to your doorstep if you need to receive your order more quickly. Additionally, delivery agents are not currently permitted to remove an existing mattress or box spring from your home.”
Additionally, Reverie Adjustable Bases also released a statement letting customers know that there may be delays in delivery and technician support. However, they did release several YouTube videos with helpful information about several common technical questions. You can find their videos here.
If you have questions about how these changes may affect the delivery of your order, please reach out to us via email, chat, or call our sleep experts who are still standing by to help you. If you’re in need of a new mattress or base, you can still shop our site for the best in sleep tech. We’ll do our best to ensure that your order is processed and delivered as quickly as possible. If you ever have any questions or need our assistance with technical issues or warranty concerns don’t hesitate to reach out.
When you’re looking for the perfect bedroom set up, an adjustable base is just the ticket to ultimate comfort no matter what you’re doing.
As the popularity of this technology grows by leaps-and-bounds, choosing a mattress when you have an adjustable bed can be a bit tricky. Adjustable bases are a great option for your room, but you want to be sure that the mattress you put on it adds to the comfort and mobility not take away from it.
Knowing the type of mattress to choose for your base is essential. Typically, you’ll be looking for the following:
You want to stay away from interlaced coil mattresses, older design air mattresses, and ultra-firm mattresses because they won’t be flexible enough to bend as needed, so they don’t move properly with the adjustable bases.
An adjustable bed base lifts the top and bottom of the mattress (the head and foot) between a number of degrees depending on the model. This elevation creates a more comfortable shape for you to read, watch TV, and even sleep.
That means the most important thing to think about when choosing a mattress is its flexibility and durability. The right mattress for an adjustable will bend and flex to follow the contour of the base, while still maintaining the support and structural integrity you need for comfortable reclining and sleeping.
Memory foam conforms to your body shape and evenly supports your weight. That eliminates the common complaint of pressure points other mattresses have. When used with an adjustable bed, memory foam flexes easily to match the contour of the base without compromising comfort and support.
Like memory foam mattresses, those made from latex are 100% foam and similarly effective at preventing pain and t points. However, they have a different feel that is commonly described as “buoyant.” Because they are slightly more rigid, choose a thinner size so it can properly adapt to your adjustable base.
Memory foam and latex mattresses are typically the best choices to use with an adjustable bed. They are flexible enough to match the curves of the base, and if you pick a brand that uses high-quality foam and materials, it will maintain its support and durability for years. However, you should be aware that there are significant differences in construction among the manufacturers that make memory foam and latex mattresses. Our top pick is Tempur-Pedic.
This is definitely where off-brand worries can come into play. You’ll want to be sure you’re purchasing a mattress from a reputable manufacturer that will stand by their product and provides technical support as well as comprehensive warranties.
Innerspring mattresses are most likely what your parents and grandparents slept on for most of their lives. But they’ve certainly been upgraded since then.
Innersprings are made from coiled springs and a padded top. Innersprings are still very common because their technology has been improved over the years. The pillowtop options have been made increasingly plusher. They have also started to be made using individually pocketed coils, which makes the bed much more responsive. Additionally, the padding is often paired with a layer of foam and the coils themselves have been made to be more flexible and create fewer pressure points.
There are several good innerspring options available on the site, including Magniflex, a premium Italian-made mattress company, and of course our two most popular Sealy and Stearns & Foster. Their premium mattresses are of very high quality and Sealy and Tempur both manufacture their own bases as well.
Airbeds are made with one or more inner air chambers, and allow you to adjust their support by increasing or decreasing the air pressure. However, only specific types are suitable for use with adjustable beds.
Models with multiple chambers are usually fine. Just be aware that when the adjustable base bends, it can impede the airflow and reduce support. We don’t recommend using an airbed with a single chamber though, because they are almost always too rigid.
In modern airbeds, there are typically several chambers, often up to five, and this allows the beds to bend and flex and change the internal air pressure in a number of areas for the best support and comfort. These also often have a layer of memory foam on the top portion for that cushioning-feel many love. Our soon-to-be-carried favorite is the ReST mattress.
Here are the main three things to consider when looking for a mattress for your adjustable base:
Flexibility: A mattress must be able to bend at least 45 degrees and be able to keep its position and still recover to its original shape without damage.
Thickness: This can really vary by the brand. A thinner mattress will likely bend easier, though there are several mattresses from Sealy, Tempur, and Stearns & Foster that are thicker and can still bend well-enough to be suitable for an adjustable base.
Durability: The mattress chosen for your adjustable base must have the ability to be adjusted several times throughout its lifetime, this is crucial to the longevity of the mattress. A cheap mattress will likely not serve you well in the long run. Put your hard-earned income to good use with a mattress brand you can trust.
When you have chosen your mattress style and the adjustable base design, the final step is to make sure the sizes are compatible. Once this is all taken care of you will enjoy many years of comfortable and healthy night's sleep.

Your preferred comfort level is by far one of the most crucial parts to finding the perfect mattress for you. For those who sleep on their back or stomach, a firm mattress will definitely be a good place to start. The deep-down solid feeling is a great way to ensure that your spine stays in the correct alignment so that you can sleep deeply and stay asleep all night long.
There is always some trepidation for mattress shoppers who aren't sure what their mattress comfort level is. Will they miss out on a softer plush comfort if they get a firm mattress? There are varying levels of firmness, and within the Sealy, Tempur, Stearns, and Magniflex brands we carry there is definitely something for everyone.
Chances are if you sleep on your back or stomach a firm mattress is an ideal mattress for you. With adequate support, this comfort level will ensure that your spine is aligned in the optimal position without any uncomfortable bends. Side sleepers might run into a little too much pressure on their shoulders and hips, but everyone is different. The best way to know what you like is to try it out.
One common misconception that is still out there is that firm mattresses provide better support than plush mattresses. This is not always the case. Most mattress manufacturers use the same innerspring coil system within all comfort levels of a mattress collection. So a firm and plush mattress within the same collection should provide you with the same level of support, just with different comfort levels.
Those who have switched to a firm mattress can usually offer a long list of reasons for why they chose to do so. Chiropractors, doctors, and other medical professionals also promote the advantages of spending a night resting on a firm mattress. These include:

]]>One rumor rampant in the mattress world and among buyers is that a firmer mattress will inherently offer better support for you. This is not necessarily true. We are all different, and as such our sleeping preferences and habits will be different too. So, a firm mattress won’t always be what you need.
If you apply this logic to its extreme, then the floor is by far the best support around. But last time I checked, sleeping on the floor was extremely uncomfortable. I had a sick baby, and trust me it hurts.
If the idea of sleeping on the floor doesn't appeal to you, then, by all means, dismiss this common misconception and trust your personal preference. Only you can know what mattress is truly right for you.
Two mattresses from the same collection may have different comfort levels, one may be plush, the other may be ultra-firm, but the coil system within these two mattresses, (where the support comes from) will likely be exactly the same. Both can support your body equally, but you are going to prefer one over the other due to the comfort level the mattress provides.
In your search, find a mattress that delivers exquisite support, and choose the comfort level that feels right to you, this may be plush, or firm, or ultra-firm. Just know that chances are the deep down support within a collection of mattresses is the same. This makes the comfort level the matter of choice when looking for that perfect mattress.
Believe it or not, you can even experience sleep and health problems if your mattress is too firm. Supporting your body in a neutral position is crucial. This is one where your spine has a nice curvature and your butt, heels, shoulders, and head are supported in the correct alignment.
If your mattress is too firm, it will cause painful pressure at those points and actually, take you out of alignment. On the flip side, if the mattress is too soft it won’t properly support you, so your whole body sinks and again you’re in poor alignment. It’s important to get the right level of firmness for your body.
According to sleep experts, a mattress with less cushioning can support a neutral spine a bit better during sleep. When you sleep on a firm mattress without too much cushioning, your bones bear most of the pressure. This allows your muscles, arteries, and veins to relax. This, in turn, improves circulation, helping you sleep better. The right mattress will also prevent your lower back from collapsing when you lay on it. This helps your airway to avoid becoming constricted, enabling the lungs to inhale more oxygen– another crucial factor in getting a good night’s sleep.
For the best night’s sleep, select a level of firmness based on the following factors:
For example, if you tend to sleep on your side, a very firm mattress won’t feel great. You’ll like something with a bit more give as well as the underlying support you need. If you sleep on your stomach, a firm top surface will offer the best support and keep you from getting that “smothering” feeling that can happens when you sink down into the mattress. If you tend to sleep on your back, look for a mattress that offers firm support and a little give so that your spine stays in the correct alignment.
